thank heavens, my get-fit-device finally came back. of course it came back squeaking all the same, so the defect which was the reason for me to have it taken away and 'repaired' in the first place was promptly also delivered.
so, i had to make a decision. will i let them take it again? no way. so here's the solution i came up with spontaneously. i spent another 50 bucks on cordless headphones and there we go. the additional sweating is kinda awful but i really don't have a choice. without the headphones, the squeaking is louder than the tv and it really bugs me. i just hope it won't become loud enough to render even the headphones futile.
